How to generate cashier and terminal readings on Imonggo – X and Z readings on the iPad POS app

Imonggo’s point-of-sale app for the iPad lets you monitor your store performance via the reports that it generates every end of shift or end of day. These reports are called cashier reading (X reading) and terminal reading (Z reading).

To generate them, the cashier only has to tap the Store Options icon on the Store page of the app.

Cashier Reading

The cashier reading facilitates the switching of cashiers who are using the app. For example, the cashier should switch if the one who is logged in will go on a break, or if their shift has already ended.

The declaration screen below should appear once the cashier taps the Switch cashier (X Read) button.

Cashier just needs to add the quantity of each tender then click Done to print the X Reading. When this is done, the store page should appear closed.

Tap the Open Store button so the next cashier can log in.

Terminal Reading

The Terminal Reading or the Z Reading, meanwhile, is done at the end of the sales day. The terminal reading is useful to view the performance of the store for the whole day because it combines the values of all the X Readings for the day. It will also show accumulated sales total and invoice numbers that the iPad POS has already generated ever since it was first used.

The declaration screen below should appear once the cashier taps the Close for the day (Z Read) button.

Cashier just needs to add the quantity of each tender then click Done to print the X Reading. When this is done, there should be a prompt that instructs you to print the Z reading.

Once the Z Reading is printed, the store will be closed and you will not be able to make any more sales transactions.

Please note that you are not allowed to produce more than one z reading in a day. Once you have printed the Z reading, your store should already be closed and you have to wait for the next day to enter another transaction.

Reports and History

You may view all printed X and Z readings on the iPad and on your web backend. Check out the X readings on the iPad by going to Office > Reports > Cashier Readings.

Check out the Z readings on the iPad by going to Office > Reports > Terminal Readings.

You can also view the X and Z in your web account. The iPad app should send them to the web as long as you are connected to the internet. Check them at Office > Reports > Readings.
