We’re already settling into to this new year, so why not make the most of it? Sure, you have plans for your business, but do you know how to start? Kick it off with basic resolutions that can help make 2017 your best year yet.
- Be nice to customers – Data from multiple studies state that being nice to customers would lead to a positive and memorable experience for them. You may gain their loyalty, and they will be back as repeat customers. Whatever happens, remember that be welcoming to every person that comes in the door of your business.
- Be positive – Your staff looks to you for guidance on how the business should be run. If you want a positive environment, the positivity should start with you. Make it a point to be attentive to your staff when they speak, so they feel valued. Always give them a smile, a pat on the back, or a few words of encouragement.
- Learn something new – It’s never too late to enrich yourself. Try to learn a new skill that can benefit your business. First, determine what the business may be needing, so you know where to focus. Perhaps the business don’t yet have a good social media presence? Then enrol yourself in a digital marketing class. That would certainly increase customer traffic and boost your sales.
- Have a break – Sure, you want your business to succeed this year, but you have to keep in mind that work should not be the major priority because it is just a tool to make you, or your family comfortable. So make an effort to remind yourself by taking your much-needed break. Get a calendar ASAP and plot the vacations that you will be taking for the year, so you have something to look forward to. This does not just make work seem lighter, but it will also keep you motivated.
