Kidsfest – CANADA

It was only a few days before the start of Kidsfest 2016 when Julie realized that they need a software to help them sell tickets. They were expecting a huge crowd for the four-day outdoor event, so they need a reliable point-of-sale that is easy to set up.

A fest of happy kids

Kidsfest, or more properly known as Winnipeg International Children’s Festival, is a yearly-event in Canada whose mission is to provide “outstanding performances, circus arts and interactive activities that are educational, inspiring and accessible to children and families from diverse communities.”

Kidsfest is a charitable organization so it has a roster of sponsors that helps the organizers reach its vision.

To the rescue

Kidsfest has utilized Imonggo since 2014, so it came to Julie’s mind when they were about to open this year’s festival.

Within minutes of contacting Imonggo support, Julie was able to access their old account, which remained intact even if they have not logged on to it for at least a year. There was minimal set-up needed because their product database and previous sales data were still available. Thus, they were able to open their ticket counters as quickly as they needed.

Fast and easy

Julie praised Imonggo’s reliability. “I liked that it worked swiftly. We set-up 3 box offices and each box office was making between 1 to 2 transactions a minute during the peak times. We slowed done (and computers froze up) when many people were using the wifi Hotspot. I don’t think we lost any information.”

She also thought that Imonggo can help them gain a complete grasp of the event’s performance. “I like the reports available. So far my superiors are satisfied. There’s a Board meeting in a month and I’m hoping the Imonggo reports will satisfy them.”

“Overall, I was very pleased with Imonggo. It can work for a business that puts on outdoor events,” she concluded.
